Mertens - MalamTeam is hiring a Data Engineer for a leading organization in Herzliya Job Description: ✦ Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot production data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows. ✦ Work hands on with Apache Airflow, including DAGs, dependencies, schedules, retries, and failures. ✦ Use SQL and Python to investigate data issues and support operational data flows. ✦ Investigate data discrepancies, duplicates, and missing records using logs, monitoring, reconciliation, and data quality checks. ✦ Use AI assisted tools such as Cursor, Claude, or similar to improve code understanding, troubleshooting, documentation, and productivity. ✦ Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to identify issues and deliver reliable data solutions. Requirements: ➜ 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, BI Engineering, or a similar data-focused role. ➜ Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, aggregations, CTEs, and window functions. ➜ Hands on experience with Apache Airflow, including troubleshooting DAGs, task dependencies, schedules, retries, and failures. ➜ Ability to read and understand Python code used in orchestration and data pipelines. ➜ Experience with ETL/ELT processes in production environments, including investigating data discrepancies, duplicates, missing records, and data quality issues. ➜ Practical experience using AI-assisted tools such as Cursor, Claude, or similar, for code understanding, troubleshooting, documentation, and productivity.
