Description
The Configuration Control Engineer is responsible for managing configuration control and product build processes within the PLM system. This role involves documenting products throughout their lifecycle, collaborating with R&D, marketing, manufacturing, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee configuration control and product release in the PLM system.
- Document products throughout their lifecycle, working closely with R&D, marketing, manufacturing, logistics, QA and subcontractors.
- NPI- Support products from development through to mass production.
- Integrate manufacturability and testability considerations (DFM, DFA, DFT, DFC) during design reviews.
- Provide technical support related to PCB topics.
- Oversee First Article production and feedback for corrections.
- Define manufacturing processes, prepare instructions, assembly drawings, and related documentation (Manufacturing procedures, Fabrication flow, PRR, etc.).
- Manage engineering change processes in PLM-ORACLE.
- Collaborate with various company departments and interfaces.
- Build manufacturing files and support subcontractors (including supporting production line issues).
- Optimize production lines and improve engineering processes using new technologies, cost reduction, and time-saving initiatives.
- Write procedures and ECR/ECN documents
Reporting Line:
Reports to the Director of Engineering in Operations
Requirements
- Degree in Electronics Engineering or practical Electronics Engineering.
- 3 years of experience in a similar engineering role within a high-tech or defense company.
- Experience in manufacturing and PCB assembly processes.
- Deep understanding of engineering processes and collaboration with development and manufacturing teams.
- Knowledge of PCB technologies – an advantage.
- Experience in writing engineering procedures and DFM.
- Significant experience with PLM systems.
- Knowledge of AUTOCAD – advantage.
- Detail-oriented, self-learner, proactive, and responsible.
- High level of English.
- Strong technical skills.
- Energetic and diligent.
